Paktron's Quencharc is an energy-efficient RC snubber network designed for arc suppression and transient control. It is used for relay contact protection, dv/dt suppression on thyristors and triacs, noise reduction on controllers and drivers, and EMI/RFI reduction. The RC network suppresses the transient voltage that appears when contacts open, helping prevent arcing while also limiting in rush current when contacts close.
