Evans Group Showcases High-Reliability Capacitor Technologies for Munitions Applications at FUZE Summit

Evans Group will participate in the 69th Annual FUZE Conference on May 12-14, a key industry event dedicated to the advancement of fuzing, munitions, and associated defense technologies.

At the conference, Evans Group will highlight capacitor solutions from its Evans, Paktron, and UTC businesses, each engineered to address the unique challenges of modern munitions systems.

These applications demand components that can deliver reliable performance in extreme conditions, including high shock and vibration, wide temperature ranges, and high-voltage environments. Capacitors play a critical role in enabling functions such as power hold-up, pulse energy delivery, and detonation system performance.

Evans’ hybrid wet tantalum capacitors offer high power density and rugged construction, making them well-suited for missile system integration and high-reliability applications. Paktron’s multilayer polymer film capacitors provide low ESR, fast response, and strong ripple current handling for power supply and pulsed power applications. UTC’s pulse energy capacitors are designed for detonation and firing modules, supporting high-temperature operation and high-voltage requirements.

Together, these technologies support a wide range of defense applications, including missile systems, electronic safe and arm devices (ESADs), electronic safe and fire devices (ESAFs), and initiator systems.

Evans Group's participation in FUZE reflects its continued focus on supporting engineers with high-performance, application-specific solutions across the defense electronics landscape.
